As a result, they have suffered the cut from several families. Upon hearing the news, Mrs. Bennet has taken to her rooms with her nerves all aflutter. In my review I stated that Simonsen’s portrayal of Mr. Darcy is enough to make any girl forget her upbringing and manners. With the war taking place, Darcy seems to be determined to make the most of his time with Elizabeth. Here is just one example of his persistence.

It is probably a good thing Lizzy is driving the lorry. This might help her to maintain her resolve and not get involved with a man during the war. But can Darcy be ignored, especially when he is such a smooth talker, and irresistibly good looking?
