Escaping her father’s prearranged marital scheme is
paramount, yet she spends all her time making out the
gentleman whose likeness seized her imagination from the
start—the one man whom she supposes will never advance
her cause.
His better judgment aside, Mr. Darcy is drawn to his sister’s pretty friend who frequents his society.
When curiosity and suspicion encounter pride and prejudice, can these reluctant lovers find their way to each other?

When curiosity and suspicion encounter pride and prejudice, can these reluctant lovers find their way to each other?
Long before he and she meet, Miss Elizabeth Bennet entertains
notions of Mr. Darcy as being good-natured, compassionate, and
exceedingly handsome. Indeed, everything a gentleman ought to
be.
In light of the ardent disdain that he incites in her family and friends at the Meryton assembly, reconciling her favorable impression of him proves deeply unsettling. Hence she goes about making out his true nature.
Boasting to the gentleman of an acquaintance with his worst enemy hardly recommends her to him.
Tempestuous sparks soon burst into passionate flames as Darcy and Elizabeth endeavor to sketch each other’s character.
Only a Heartbeat Away: Pride & Prejudice Novella is a story of
duty, of honor, and love of family. A fast-paced, wonderfully
diverting Regency romance, it is P. O. Dixon’s ninth adaptation of
Jane Austen’s timeless classic. In light of the ardent disdain that he incites in her family and friends at the Meryton assembly, reconciling her favorable impression of him proves deeply unsettling. Hence she goes about making out his true nature.

Hmm, it'd be interesting to see what difference it'd make if Lizzy was disposed in Darcy's favour rather than set against him from the beginning. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! I'm at frawli1978 at gmail dot com.

DeleteHowdy, Ceri! I like the point you bring up about seeing what difference it makes if Lizzy is disposed in Darcy's favor rather than against him. I like that premise. Not too many authors go that route. I hope you enjoy it! Good luck in the giveaway! :)

When I first heard about this novella I couldn't wait for its release, it seemed like August was so far away, but it was worth it. I loved the story and thought the premis was great! But since I'm a big fan of Pam's I would expect nothing less.

Yet another lovely post I missed while I was away :(
ReplyDeleteAlthough I missed the deadline, thought I'd pop by and say that the premise of this novella is very intriguing. The very fact that it would go against the grain for Elizabeth to dislike Darcy, rather than the other way around, gives the story a very pleasant twist!
Thanks for stopping by, Joana! :) Glad you think this sounds intriguing. Hope you get to read it soon. :)
