Lady Catherine vs Charlotte Collins Vlog + Giveaway

Charlotte~ Pride and Prejudice Continues
We all know Lady Catherine desires to have her own way and will brook no opposition. Karen Aminadra’s Lady Cat, as I’m going to call her (see my interview with the fearsome lady), is devious, ruthless, and mean-spirited. I have yet to see a portrayal to match this one.
Listen in on the conversation between Colonel Fitzwilliam and Charlotte Collins just after Christmas.

As you can see, not only is Lady Cat calculating, but our dear Charlotte is onto her schemes.

What renderings of Lady Catherine do you find memorable? Have you read some mean or kind depictions of the lady?

I like the spunky and slightly changed Lady Catherine in Remembrance of the Past.

Karen Aminadra has been so kind as to provide a PAPERBACK copy of Charlotte to one lucky winner!! Please use the Rafflecopter form to enter, as that is how the winner will be chosen on Sunday, June 24!! Good Luck!

  1. Oh Lady Cat!! But Charoltte managed well!
But then I thought if Col. Fitzwilliam did inquire about the spoilt dinner, in fact, because he would have wanted it spoilt as well (maybe because he can´t think about having a nice christmas-dinner possible with someone as Mr. Collins)...need to read this novel to find out! Sounds very intruiging and you picked out a great part as vlog again! :)

    1. Ooh, good point, Katrin! Maybe the Colonel *was* also hoping for a spoilt dinner! I didn't think of that! So glad I was able to pique your interest again with one of my vlogs! :)

    1. Yes! Charlotte really knows how to deal with Lady Cat in this story, doesn't she? It's great!

  4. Haha - eat THAT, your Ladyship! I gotta see how bad this Lady Cat is, if she's one of the most conniving you've read so far. I've read some truly evil and also some not-so-bad-in-the-end portrayals of That Great Lady but I think my favorite so far is in Darcy & Fitzwilliam. She cracked me up and she really loved both her "boys".

    1. Monica, I do not remember the Lady Catherine in D&F. There have been some real evil ones hasn't there? I found myself getting so ticked at Lady C here, I just wanted to tar & feather her. Too bad it isn't legal! ;)

  5. This is my first time watching your vlog, Jakki and I rather enjoy the excerpt that you choose. This Charlotte knows how to stand up to Lady Cat in a subtle manner.
