I am excited to announce today's guest, Jennie Blackwell from Michaela Robertson's Angel of the Centerfold! I was able to sit down with Jennie and ask her some personal and not-so-personal questions. I hope you enjoy what Jennie has to share! And please, feel free to ask her your own questions!
*******
Welcome, Jennie! I am thrilled that you are able to sit down with me for a couple questions our dear readers are dying to know, I'm sure. I know you are getting ready for some exams, so I won't keep you. Let's begin!
At one point in the story, Liam quite embarrassingly confuses
you for your identical twin, Elizabeth. Do you two often get confused for each
other, and have you ever purposefully tricked people with your identity?
People mix us up all the time. Especially from a distance or the back. As you can see we have a similar figure and
our hair is just a shade or to different in color. Mine comes out of a bottle. Lizzy never seems to have enough time to do
much with hers than wash it and let it dry.
Yes, when we were in high school, we
switched several times. It was fun to
see if people really were paying attention to us as individuals or I they just
thought of us as those Blackwell girls.
Readers know that Jennie is tired of her girl-next-door life,
and that is why she adapts her alter ego, Ariel De Mer. Do you find it tiring
being two people at once? If you could pick just one person, Jennie or Ariel,
who would you rather spend your time being?
It's exhausting being two people. Surprisingly, it is hard work to be a party
girl. It was fun being Ariel or awhile,
but her personality is so different from my own. I had to focus on keeping things light. I've been focused on getting through Pre-Med
and then medical school for awhile and that more serious side of me is at the
forefront these days.
Some of Ariel's actions may cause some readers to blush. Can
you tell us Ariel's favorite or most shocking escapade?
Hmm…This is a tough one. Chance & I really didn't do too many
shocking things. At least not when you
considered what we could have done. If
I had to choose one thing, it would be the getting to third base at the top of
the ferris wheel on Coney Island.
Tell the readers something interesting about you that they
might not know. :)
I can put my heel behind my head. It tried once to fold up and into a suitcase
but decided that while I'm pretty flexible that particular trick was better
left to professionals.
What were your first thoughts of Chance Bly upon meeting him
at the bar?
He had a unique approach. Trust me, I was surprised that he was more
subtle than the usual pickup artist. I
usually get the guy who says , "Hey babe want to get it on?" He was so suave and well dressed and not
in your face at all.
Quick fire questions:
Favorite wine? Melon de
Bourgogne
Sweet or salty? Salty
Favorite song? Taylor Swift
- we are never ever getting back together
Naughty or nice? Naughty
In your spare time, you enjoy… Embroidery
Thank you so much, Jennie, for being with me today. It was
such a pleasure getting to know you better. And I have to admit, I am still in
awe of your beauty. Maybe next time you can give me some fashion tips. ;)
I hope you also enjoyed getting to know Jennie Blackwell
better, readers. If you are intrigued by her story at all, I suggest you pick

Book Blurb:
Disguise of every sort creates difficulties for recent Yale grads
Elizabeth and Jennie Blackwell, who are eager to begin the next chapter of
their lives.
Elizabeth hopes her remarkable voice and academic training will help
crown her the new darling of the Met. But will her burgeoning romance with
world-renowned philanthropist Lliam Dafydd benefit her career or derail it
before it begins?
Elizabeth’s minutes-older twin, Jennie, plans to translate her
impressive résumé into a successful medical research program, but her demanding
academic pursuits leave little time for romance.
Feeling trapped by her girl-next-door image, Jennie adopts a
daring alter ego who behaves as she never would. As “Ariel De Mer,” Jennie
becomes captivated by mysterious photographer, Chance Bly. Handsome and suave, he
smoothly awakens her desires, while Ariel’s sexiness and sassiness mesmerize her
smitten lover.
But Jennie’s innocent charade has a powerful impact on the lives
of those she loves, and she is not the only one playing games.

Author Bio:
Michaela Robertson has dabbled in writing since her teenage years. In college, she initially majored in music until deciding she'd rather eat than enrich the world with her talent. A few years later, with a still-damp business degree in hand, Michaela entered the world of statistics. As the author of many dry technical documents, her artistic side was hidden from the world. Only her husband and daughter were aware of the musical talent hidden beneath the surface.
In the late 1990's, she began traveling extensively for her job, and being away from home and family created something she was previously unfamiliar with—spare time. Bowling, mixed-doubles darts, and touring temporarily filled the void. A chance encounter in 2004 with the 1995 Pride and Prejudice mini-series starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle led Michaela’s down a new path. Having read Fan Fiction in other genres, she went on a quest for Austen Fan Fiction and discovered a world rich in stories and history.
Music continues to be Michaela’s muse and has inspired her writing. Now a widow, she lives on a couple of acres on the edge of the world in the Pacific Northwest with the current love of her life, a border collie.
